What is a "PDF" file and why did Nexity choose this format to provide my Statements?
The PDF (Portable Document Format) is the standard for electronic document distribution worldwide. PDF is a universal file format that preserves all of the fonts, formatting, colors, and graphics of any document, regardless of the computer and browser used to view it. Your Nexity Bank Statement is compact, for faster download. It can be easily viewed, navigated, saved and printed when logged into your secure account access. Working with the PDF format requires Adobe Acrobat® Reader, which is free and readily available.

Why am I able to view "PDF" documents from other web sites yet I am unable to view my online statement from Nexity Bank?

Most other web sites provide "static" PDF documents. When you visit their site, you can directly view these files without special secure logon because they are not confidential. Your Nexity Bank Account Statement is generated upon request, if you are properly logged into account access. Your statement is not stored on our web server. This is done for your security to ensure that only the intended audience (you) can receive the Statement.

There are issues with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 and 5.01, with older versions of Acrobat Reader. When you attempt to view your statement using Internet Explorer version 5.0 and 5.01, because you are downloading a 'dynamic' document, the PDF file does not open within your browser. The most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (5) allows Internet Explorer version 5.0 and 5.01 users to read Nexity Bank statements. In fact, even if you have the most recent Internet Explorer version, you should still install the most recent version of Acrobat Reader by clicking on our link to that download location (see below).
